THUTO — a Setswana concept meaning to teach and to learn — describes a reciprocal exchange in which knowledge, creativity, and community develop together.

NB: Setswana is a Language of Southern Africa. It is usually spoken by a Motswana from Botswana, Africa.

THE CHILDREN OF BOTSWANA #TCOBW

Between 2007–2014, children from Gaborone, Francistown, and the village of Mathangwane, Botswana participated in a collaborative photography project facilitated by photographer Annelize Bester in collaboration with the Anglican Diocese of Botswana.

Project is often hash tagged as #THUTO and #TCOBW. It was a project formed as part of a broader Education Initiative by the Anglican Bishop, Rt. Rev. Trevor Mwamba, The Anglican Bishop of Botswana in collaboration with ThinkTankThuto (#TTT) The initiative was spearheaded by Annelize Bester and Volunteers of the Think Tank (TTT). The blue sky plans for an educational campus to be located in Mathangwane, Botswana was designed by CGI architect Michel Cavro.
